Originally from Japan, Ganbanyoku is a form of hot stone therapy made of tenshoh seki, or black silica, and natural lava rock that is heated to just over 44 degrees Celsius. The flat rock bed radiates far-infrared rays and emits negative ions to penetrate deep beneath the skin’s surface, stimulating the body’s water molecules and balancing one’s energy. The therapeutic benefits include accelerated metabolism, increased circulation, and release of muscular aches and pains.
