Arctic Circle ultra-luxury retreat Octola Private Wilderness has made history by becoming the world’s first travel destination to continuously monitor ultrafine air particles using advanced, research-grade technology.

Aurora Expeditions has announced a Founder’s Voyage Across the Arctic Circle in May 2023 will be led by the Australian expedition line’s Greg Mortimer (OAM). The 15-day adventure aboard his namesake, Greg Mortimer, will sail from Scotland to Norway, visiting the remote Orkney and Shetland Islands, the Norwegian coastline and the frozen wilderness of Bear Island and Svalbard.

Hurtigruten will introduce new year-round departures along the Norwegian coast directly from the UK, Germany and Norway in 2021. Sailings will operate from Dover, Hamburg and Bergen starting from January.

APT has unveiled its 2021 Small Ship Cruising program, comprising three brochures. Next year’s program features APT’s own fleet of expedition ships complete with zodiacs, as well as luxurious cruise ships, including Ponant’s soon-to-launch Le Bellot in the Kimberley.
