A significant leadership restructure, effective immediately, aims to propel Anywhere Travel Group into its next growth phase, as Founder Barbara Whitten steps away from day-to-day operations.

Nik Young has been appointed Chief Executive Officer after 15 years with the business, and Vanessa Dunham has been promoted to General Manager, Corporate, following three years at the company.

Under the changes, Whitten, who founded Anywhere Travel 43 years ago, will now serve as Founder and Senior Advisor.

“Anywhere Travel is in excellent hands,” she said. “I will support key relationships and represent our brand while day-to-day management sits with the leadership team.”

In his new role, Young will lead strategy, operations and overall business performance across the group, while also continuing to head up the Leisure business.

“Our focus is simple,” Young said. “Service without compromise, faster decisions and measurable value for travellers and programme owners. We will keep investing in people, technology and partnerships that make both corporate and leisure travel easier and more effective.”

Meanwhile, Dunham will oversee the entire corporate division, including client experience, technology and growth initiatives.

“Corporate clients want proactive management and clear outcomes,” she said. “My priorities are consistent standards across every itinerary, stronger reporting and duty-of-care, and a smoother digital experience from booking to reconciliation.”
