The opening of Mandarin Oriental’s first hotel in Austria, Mandarin Oriental, Vienna, has been set for 20 October 2025.

Housed in a meticulously restored, heritage-listed Art Nouveau courthouse in the prestigious First District on Riemergasse that was originally designed by Alfred Keller in 1908, the hotel blends historical grandeur with modern sophistication.

Mandarin Oriental, Vienna features 138 rooms and suites, including three exclusive Mandarin Signature Suites and a luxurious Royal Suite.

“Our aim is to create a place that is both a retreat for international travellers and a meeting place for locals with an appreciation of the extraordinary,” General Manager Mario Habicher said. “The historic Art Nouveau building in Riemergasse provides the ideal setting for this.”

In addition to its accommodations, the hotel offers seven multifunctional boardrooms and a 140-square metre ballroom — ideal for meetings, events, and special occasions.

Culinary offerings at the hotel span four distinct destinations under the guidance of Executive Chef Thomas Seifried, headlined by Le Sept, a fine dining seafood restaurant using contemporary French techniques and subtle Asian influences.

“Vienna is ready for a new culinary chapter that surprises, inspires and offers enjoyment at the highest level,” said Chef Seifried. “Good cuisine should be accessible to everyone who enjoys savouring it, not exclusive.”
