HX has signed a three-year partnership with broadcaster, explorer, author, and marine biologist Monty Halls, who will serve as the company’s official Brand Ambassador as it approaches its 130th anniversary in 2026.
The appointment deepens an existing relationship between Halls and HX, which began in 2024 with the launch of the Big Blue Bag initiative – an ocean clean-up campaign developed in partnership with the HX Foundation.
“HX has always stood for meaningful exploration with real purpose and connection with the natural world – that aligns perfectly with my own values and aspirations,” Halls said. “It’s going to be a truly exciting journey and fitting of such a significant year.”
Monty’s first voyage as ambassador will take place on 19 November 2025 in the Galápagos Islands, where he continues his role as President of the Galapagos Conservation Trust. He will be engaging with guests on the Big Blue Bag campaign and sharing his passion for ocean conservation.

The announcement fittingly coincides with the 190th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s arrival in the Galápagos in 1835, “a moment that would forever change the way we understand the natural world.”
In addition to the Galápagos expedition, Monty will headline two exclusive Scottish Isles expedition sailings. Island Hopping in the Hebrides will depart on 7 May 2026 and 17 May 2026. The voyages will explore the Western Isles of Scotland and are available to book now.
Monty will also play a key role in shaping the British Isles itineraries, using his “deep knowledge of the region’s natural and cultural heritage.”
Nathaniel Sherborne, HX Vice President and Managing Director of Europe and Global Sales Enablement highlighted Halls as “the perfect ambassador”. “Monty embodies the spirit of exploration and conservation that is at the heart of HX,” he said.
