Last week, Seabourn‘s Key Accounts Manager, Belinda Layt, hosted a contingent of valued agency partners for an exclusive inspection of Seabourn Pursuit while the ultra-luxury expedition ship was in Darwin.

The visit offered a comprehensive behind-the-scenes experience, with the group touring every suite category on offer, all restaurants and bars, and time to explore the lounges, spa, gym, pool, whirlpools and dedicated mud rooms.

A highlight of the day was a detailed Q&A with the Expedition Team who introduced the ship’s optional kayaking and submersible program, alongside a closer look at the storage areas for Zodiacs, kayaks and the twin custom-built U-Boat Worx submarines.

Guests enjoyed a lunch in The Colonnade, sampling a wide variety of dishes – where the home-made mint chip gelato proved especially popular.

The day concluded with a spectacular farewell at Stokes Hill Wharf, where the group watched Seabourn Pursuit depart Darwin Harbour at sunset on her journey towards the Indonesian islands, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Tahiti, South America, and eventually Antarctica for her third season of exploration.

The group of industry partners included Carina Mullen, Flight Centre Travel Group/CruiseHQ; Rachel Styring and Veronica Baillie, Luxury Cruise Escapes; Karen Scholes, Chimu Adventure and Angelina Hackett, Trip-a-Deal, who were also joined by Angus Mackay, Seabourn Strategic Accounts Manager.
