The Peninsula Istanbul has launched exclusive cruises and transfers aboard its custom-built, 16-metre private luxury motor yacht, PEN 1.
Managing Director Jonathan Crook explained that the experience will allow guests to view Istanbul from its most iconic vantage point – the water.
“Sat at the crossroads of Asia and Europe, Istanbul is a city best seen from the water,” Crook said. “Aboard PEN 1, guests of The Peninsula Istanbul can discover the buzzing metropolis in style, with sweeping views of both continents and in complete serenity, all with the impeccable hospitality they have come to expect.”

Designed by acclaimed Turkish naval architect Tanju Kalaycıoğlu and built by SuMarine custom yacht builders, PEN 1 accommodates up to 16 passengers. The vessel combines classic maritime design with a modern aesthetic including teak decking, polished stainless-steel fixtures, handcrafted details and a hull finished in signature Peninsula green.
Departing from the hotel’s private boat dock at Galataport, PEN 1 offers water transport to Üsküdar and Haliç (Golden Horn), giving guests easy access to Istanbul’s most vibrant neighborhoods.

Those arriving at Istanbul’s airports will be transferred by private vehicle to board the boat at Haliç, while those arriving at Sabiha Gökçen Airport will be brought to Üsküdar, with their luggage transported to the hotel. Once aboard, guests are greeted by a Guest Experience Executive and a glass of Champagne.
Beyond transfers, PEN 1 is available for customised private guest voyages.
