The comprehensive refurbishment of Park Hyatt Tokyo is close to completion, with the hotel confirming it will reopen on 9 December 2025.
Reservations will open for rooms, restaurants, events and the spa on 24 September 2025 at 12pm Japan time.
“As we celebrate more than three decades of welcoming guests to Park Hyatt Tokyo, this refinement represents both a homecoming and the beginning of a new chapter,” General Manager Fredrik Harfors said.
“We look forward to offering an experience that is refreshed yet familiar – one that resonates with returning guests and invites a new generation to discover Park Hyatt Tokyo as a place to truly reside, find relaxation and feel at home.”
The transformation commenced in May 2024. Led by Studio Jouin Manku, the redesign of guestrooms, suites, Girandole by Alain Ducasse, and The Peak Lounge & Bar pays homage to the hotel’s legacy.
“We hope that when guests return, they will feel at ease and recognize the hotel’s spirit, while also sensing a renewed energy,” Designer and Co-Owner Patrick Jouin said.
Architect and Co-Owner Sanjit Manku added, “It’s like a film remake: the same story, reinterpreted by different generations. The deeper you explore, the more you will notice a thoughtful balance – refined in a way that will remain relevant for another 30 years.”
Guestrooms now feature a blend of mineral and organic materials such as marble and wood, with custom-designed furnishings and a lighter shade of the hotel’s signature green carpet.
The new Park Suite category offers separate living and sleeping areas, dining tables for two to four guests, generous walk-in closets and views of Harajuku, Shibuya, Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park. Signature suites include features such as hinoki pinewood or marble soaking tubs, steam or mist saunas, kitchens, and dedicated entertainment areas.
The newly launched Girandole by Alain Ducasse will provide a modern interpretation of classic Parisian dishes while The Peak Lounge & Bar remains “a serene retreat” which is the perfect spot to take in the views from the hotel
