Demand for APT’s European river cruise program and private jet itineraries with Captain’s Choice have helped catapult APT Travel Group to its largest-ever week of bookings.
The Group also saw strong demand for its new Small Group Touring collection for sister-brand Travelmarvel, and an uptick in bookings for APT’s Canada program, all during the week ending 12 September 2025.
“We are seeing unprecedented enthusiasm for our 2026 programs,” said David Cox, CEO, APT Travel Group. Earlier this year, APT launched two of its very own European river ships, the 154-passenger APT Solara (pictured below) and APT Ostara. Cox referred to the booking period as “outstanding”.

“Importantly, travellers at the high-end luxury level are showing they can tell the difference between true luxury products and other products so-called luxury that don’t measure up. Consumers are well informed and are well aware of luxe-washing occurring in the marketplace. They want thoughtful curation in the product and a brand that delivers on its promise.”
Captain’s Choice recorded one of its strongest booking weeks, with the Kangaroo Route journey – that was unveiled in August – a standout. This one-off recreation departing in February, retraces the historic 1947 route from Sydney to London aboard a Qantas Airbus A330.

The Group said Europe’s river cruises remain a cornerstone of APT’s and Travelmarvel’s offering, with high demand across the Rhine, Main, Danube and Douro, driven by demand for immersive and curated itineraries.
The Group said Canada is also outperforming expectations, with strong bookings for journeys through the Rockies, iconic rail experiences, and Alaska cruising, reinforcing the destination’s appeal as a bucket-list destination combining wilderness, rail and cruise experiences.
“The record week signals a powerful sales trend, positioning APT Travel Group for continued momentum across its vast breadth travel styles and destinations,” the Melbourne-based travel company said.
