OzHarvest Founder Ronni Kahn will join PONANT EXPLORATIONS on 2 July 2026 for an 11-day voyage through one of the world’s last great wildernesses – the remote Kimberley coastline.

Kahn has dedicated her life to fighting food waste and feeding vulnerable communities. She has been recognised as an Officer of the Order of Australia and named Australian Local Hero of the Year, is the subject of documentary Food Fighter as well as her ABIA-nominated memoir A Repurposed Life.

She will share her story through talks and activities during this one-off voyage aboard Le Jacques-Cartier as Visionary in Residence.

“Travel has the power to inspire change,” Deb Corbett, CEO Asia Pacific of PONANT EXPLORATIONS, said. “Sailing alongside OzHarvest Founder, Ronni Kahn, guests will not only witness one of the world’s last great wildernesses but also be part of a journey that supports sustainability, education, and community impact.”

Onboard, guests will have the chance to engage in conversations about food sustainability and discover how they can create change in their own communities.

Sailing from Broome to Darwin, expedition highlights will include the wildlife-rich Lacepede Islands, Montgomery Reef, Hunter River’s crocodile country, and the towering Twin Falls – the highest in Western Australia.

This sailing also marks a milestone in PONANT EXPLORATIONS’ three-year partnership with OzHarvest, supporting food relief and education in the Northern Territory. Each week, OzHarvest NT delivers 350kg of food to communities like Jabiru and Marlkawo, while its FEAST program empowers students to tackle food waste.

Through this partnership, PONANT and OzHarvest are “helping to feed communities, inspire future changemakers, and fight food waste where it matters most.”
