The launch of Sonesta International Hotels‘ newest luxury vessel, the Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat II, marks a significant expansion of its presence on the Nile River, taking its fleet to seven.
The Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat II features five deluxe cabins and four suites, all fitted with private terraces, Plasma TVs, complimentary internet access and individual climate control. The deluxe cabins include sitting areas with Nile views, while the suites offer additional space and exclusive access to private terraces.
“The launch of the Sonesta Dahabeya Amirat II is a pivotal moment for our Nile River cruise portfolio, cementing our strategic direction and expanding our fleet,” said Keith Pierce, Sonesta’s Executive Vice President and President of Franchise & Development.

The new vessel features a shaded sun deck and bar, a lounge with a reading corner and an open-air Jacuzzi surrounded by private sunbeds. Guests can enjoy gourmet meals withNile views in the ship’s restaurant. A fitness centre, gym and massage services round out the onboard offerings.
ITo coincide with the launch, Sonesta has also announced a major enhancement to its loyalty program. Members of the Sonesta Travel Pass now earn five points per US$1 spent on the cabin portion of any Sonesta Nile River cruise. This applies across all seven ships in the Sonesta Nile Cruise Collection.
