Work has begun on the interiors of Emerald Astra after it touched water for the first time during an official launch ceremony at the end of September, Emerald Cruises has confirmed.
The ceremony marked the completion of the vessel’s hull, a major milestone, with attention now turning to the inside of the ship.
“Every space will be thoughtfully curated to deliver the comfort, luxury, and innovation future guests will enjoy,” the cruise line, part of the Scenic Group, said.

“We extend our sincere thanks to our trusted shipbuilding partners and expert team for their unwavering dedication.”
Set to join the fleet in May 2026, Emerald Astra will cruise on the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers.
More updates will follow as Emerald Astra enters the final build stages and prepares to welcome her first guests on board.
