Marking the debut of the Autograph Collection brand in the Maldives, Marriott International and CDL Hospitality Trusts (CDLHT) will rebrand the current Raffles Maldives Meradhoo to The Halcyon Private Isles Maldives, Autograph Collection.

The franchise agreement will take effect on 1 November 2025, with the current management agreement with Raffles Hotels & Resorts, part of the Accor group, to conclude by mutual agreement on 31 October 2025. Resort operations will continue uninterrupted during the transition period.

“We are pleased to collaborate with CDL Hospitality Trusts on the debut of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection in the Maldives – a significant milestone that marks our continued growth in one of the world’s most sought-after holiday destinations,” said Gautam Bhandari, Senior Vice President, Hotel Development & Operations for Singapore & Maldives at Marriott International.

“As global demand rises for distinctive and high-quality hospitality, the Maldives presents an exceptional opportunity to deliver on our promise of differentiated experiences in extraordinary locations. The debut of Autograph Collection here underscores our commitment to expanding in key leisure markets while celebrating the unique character of each destination.”

Located in the picturesque Gaafu Alifu Atoll, the ultra-luxurious resort spans two pristine islands and features 38 spacious villas, ranging from overwater sanctuaries to beachfront retreats. Each villa starts at 220 square metres. The resort also includes five distinct restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, and dedicated facilities for wellness and diving.

“The rebranding underscores our commitment to enhancing asset value by aligning with internationally recognised hospitality brands that offer compelling customer propositions and strong loyalty programs,” CDLHT said.
The Autograph Collection will add The Halcyon Private Isles Maldives to its global network of over 300 hotels in more than 50 countries.
