The launch of Scenic Ikon has been confirmed by Scenic Group, with the new vessel to join the Scenic Discovery Yacht fleet from April 2028.
At 26,500 gross tonnes, 205 metres long and spanning a 24-metre beam, Scenic Ikon will welcome up to 270 guests in 135 all-verandah suites ranging from 34 to 250 square metres over five decks.

“Scenic Ikon has been conceived, engineered and built with our in-house ship building division at MKM Yachts and will be operated entirely by our own dedicated Scenic crew,” Glen Moroney, Founder & Chairman of Scenic Group, said.

“This remarkable vessel is the result of more than three years of passion, innovation and development by our team, and we are delighted to share the Discovery Yacht with our valued guests, travel advisors and partners.

“Every element of Scenic Ikon’s design has been optimised to deliver unrivalled experiences across diverse destinations and environments, from its primary base The Mediterranean to the wilds of Antarctica.”

As a Scenic Discovery Yacht, the new vessel will be purpose-built to perform in both polar regions and warm water destinations. Expertly engineered and rated Polar Code 6 with an Ice Class 1A Super strengthened hull, it will be “exceptionally versatile”.

It will also be equipped with two Airbus H130-T2 helicopters, a custom-designed Triton AVA submersible, Zodiacs, and luxurious superyacht Fassmer tenders.
Scenic confirmed that construction is already well underway. A steel-cutting ceremony was held in February 2025 attended by Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, followed by the keel laying in May 2025. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2027, ahead of final testing and entry into service.

Details of the ship’s inaugural season were also revealed, with Scenic Ikon to embark on its inaugural voyage from Venice in April 2028 – already a sell-out.
The maiden season through to March 2029 will visit 110 ports, 21 countries and 26 new destinations including the Mediterranean, Aegean and Egypt, the Cape Verde Islands, Dakar, Antarctica, the Falkland Islands and the Chilean Fjords.

A look inside the vessel reveals 15 distinctive dining venues, spacious lounges and a selection of social and relaxation spaces. The 1,700 sqm, two-level Senses Rejuvenation Spa, will feature signature spa therapies, hydrotherapy and thermal experiences, with additional fitness offerings.

An expanded range of helicopter landings is also on offer, as they are rolled out across the Scenic Discovery Yachts fleet. These include landings at renowned golf courses, celebrated local restaurants and historic landmarks as well as remote wilderness regions.

These experiences are included for Chairman’s Club members, and for guests in the Penthouse and Owner’s Suites. Guests taking advantage of the Super Earlybird offers will also enjoy a complimentary flight.
A limited number of suites are available at pre-release pricing.
