Seven new walking itineraries encompassing Bhutan and Nepal have been introduced by Walk into Luxury, as the experiential travel company broadens its global footprint. These new private guided hikes of seven- to 17-days durations in the Himalayas arrive in response to growing demand for nature-based, immersive travel, and complement Walk into Luxury’s options in Australia, New Zealand, Patagonia, Japan and Norway.

Coupled with world-class lodging and dining at properties including andBeyond Punakha River Lodge, Amankora Paro and Six Senses Thimphu in Bhutan, and Shinta Mani Mustang in Nepal, the new walks are available for any date year-round, with no minimum numbers.

“Bhutan is full of contrasts. It’s a hidden gem, seemingly untouched by the modern world, yet it is home to some of the world’s best hotels dotted among its remote valleys,” said Nikki King, CEO of Walk into Luxury. “It is the ultimate luxury walking destination.”

Bhutan is filled with forested trails, hilltop monasteries and rural villages. Hikers have the option to experience the famed Tigers Nest hike and Trans Bhutan Trail, and a walk near Lawala Mountain Pass that concludes with a private lunch setup in the forest overlooking Gangtey Valley.

In Nepal, the Annapurna foothills and Mustang Valley – home to the dramatic Kali Gandaki Gorge – await, offering moderate walking based at unique luxury mountain lodge, Shinta Mani. Walkers keen to experience Everest have the option to add a heli-breakfast with a view ofthe world’s highest peak.

The new Himalayas program comes after the recent investment from Lou and Rob Tandy, to broaden Walk into Luxury’s reach into new destinations. Still to come are hikes through Italy’s Dolomites, Sri Lanka, Peru and the Galapagos.

“Our aim is to showcase the world’s best walks and wilderness areas to clients, which is reflected in our destination pipeline,” King said.

“Modern luxury travelles seek out time in nature when they travel, and active options like hiking are growing in popularity. Walk into Luxury’s journeys offer this in spades, alongside some luxury comforts.”

The new program includes three Bhutan journeys, two in Nepal, and two that combine both destinations;

Walk into Luxury says the best travel windows are between March and June, and between September and December.
