COMO Hotels and Resorts has released fresh details about its forthcoming French Riviera property, COMO Le Beauvallon, confirming an opening date of 24 April 2026.

The April 2026 reopening marks COMO’s first permanent presence on the Côte d’Azur, expanding the brand’s European portfolio beyond its existing properties in London and Tuscany. First announced in June, this latest reveal offers a glimpse inside the reborn hotel which will fuse Belle Époque grandeur with contemporary design and COMO’s distinctive wellness and culinary approach.

COMO Le Beauvallon

Originally built in 1914, Le Beauvallon has long been one of the Côte d’Azur’s most storied estates as a hideaway that once played host to Winston Churchill, Audrey Hepburn, and other icons of the 20th century. Following years as a private-use estate after its restoration in 2008 and limited reopening in 2015, the property recently reopened as a full-service hotel under COMO’s management.

“The opening of COMO Le Beauvallon in April 2026 marks an important moment for the COMO Group — a rare opportunity to establish our presence in one of Europe’s most exclusive destinations,” said Olivier Jolivet, CEO of COMO Hotels and Resorts. “It enriches our portfolio and reinforces our commitment to delivering empathetic service, authentic experiences, and a deep connection to place.”

The 10-acre estate occupies a prime position on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, surrounded by palms and pines cascading down to the waterfront. COMO confirmed that the new beach club restaurant, Beauvallon Sur Mer, will serve as the social heart of the resort, with a menu combining “Asian culinary traditions with the terroir of Provence and the coastal spirit of the Mediterranean.”

For the first time, guests will enjoy direct yacht access, with tenders able to moor just offshore. Two private COMO speedboats will offer complimentary transfers: an eight-minute crossing to Saint-Tropez’s old fishing port and another route to the beaches of Ramatuelle and Pampelonne.

The relaunch will also feature the relocation of the 2002 Serpentine Gallery Summer Pavilion by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Toyo Ito. The modernist installation has been reconstructed piece by piece in COMO Le Beauvallon’s bayside gardens, appearing “suspended between sky, water and light”.

Inside, the hotel will feature 42 individually designed rooms and suites, many showcasing works from a contemporary art collection spanning more than 300 pieces, including sculptures and rare objets d’art. Guests will also enjoy homely touches such as a corridor pantry stocked with snacks and drinks, open around the clock.

COMO Le Beauvallon will also bring the group’s wellness concept, COMO Shambhala, to the Riviera. The main building will house treatment rooms offering massages, facials, and daily yoga, complemented by a fitness studio and menus from the COMO Shambhala Kitchen, available both in-room and in the hotel’s all-day Winter Garden restaurant.

Additional dining options include a terrace restaurant overlooking the estate gardens and a lobby lounge featuring a large-scale installation by Chinese artist Zheng Lu.
