IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a partnership to introduce the Hotel Indigo brand to the cultural heart of Bali. The 130-key Hotel Indigo Bali is slated to open in 2027, and build’s on IHG’s recent announcement of the debut of Kimpton Bali Ubud, scheduled to launch in early 2026.
As visitors increasingly look beyond Bali’s traditional beach destinations, Ubud has emerged as a hotspot for culture, wellness, and nature-rich escapes. With thoughtfully designed abodes and curated experiences, Hotel Indigo Bali Ubud will bring to life the neighbourhood’s soul tailored for solo travellers, families, and groups. These include dedicated neighbourhood guides, immersive social experiences, and culinary programmes that ensure every visitor enjoys a stay that’s deeply rooted in its locality.
Situated on the edge of the Blangsinga Waterfall and Village (home to a crafts market, retail centre and glass-bottom bridge), Hotel Indigo Bali is adjacent to an ancient riverside temple, surrounded by a lush hillside that cascades down to a river.

Chris Anklin, Senior Director, Development, South East Asia and Korea, IHG Hotels & Resorts said: “Indonesia is one of IHG’s most important growth markets, and we are delighted to expand our portfolio here with the signing of Hotel Indigo Bali Ubud.
“Our growth in Indonesia is an exciting one — with 33 open hotels and 12 in the pipeline. Our brands are giving travellers more options across the country, reflecting the strength of our partnerships and the rising demand for authentic stay experiences.”
Hotel Indigo Bali Ubud will add to a growing brand portfolio across the country that includes Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar and Hotel Indigo Bintan Lagoi Beach. Globally, Hotel Indigo continues to resonate with owners and travellers seeking a unique neighbourhood stay experience, with its portfolio growing to 183 hotels in more than 25 countries, with 132 pipeline properties.
