Silversea staged an extraordinary maritime spectacle in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday 30 November, with the brand’s sister ships, Silver Nova and Silver Moon, arriving in port on the same day for the first time in the luxury cruise line’s history.

To mark this milestone, Ports Victoria, Visit Victoria and the City of Port Phillip collaborated with Silversea on a vibrant portside activation at Station Pier, Port Melbourne, featuring live music and large-scale street art celebrating the dual ship arrival.

Launched in 2023, Silver Nova features an innovative asymmetrical design that maximises ocean views and natural light. Accommodating 728 guests, Silver Nova offers a space-to-guest ratio of 75 gross tonne per passenger, making it one of the most spacious cruise ships ever built.

Meanwhile, Silver Moon is marking her maiden season in Australia, and joined Silver Nova at Port Melbourne at 6:00am on Sunday 30 November before departing at 7:00pm on a 16-day voyage to Auckland.

Silver Moon offers guests the small-ship intimacy and spacious all-suite accommodations that are hallmarks of the Silversea experience. With capacity to host 596 guests, the ship offers an intimate atmosphere with exceptional service. Silver Moon also features Silversea’s S.A.L.T. culinary program, connecting guests to the essence of each destination through cuisine, expert-led classes, and destination-based gastronomic experiences.
