Aman at Sea will open reservations for its first vessel, Amangati, early in the new year for the ultra-luxury yacht’s inaugural summer season in the Mediterranean, LATTE can exclusively reveal. Amangati‘s first sailings will operate in mid-2027, commencing in the Western Med.
The new-to-cruise brand will take advantage of the annual ‘wave season’ to launch sales, and be in market from early January, Jonathan Wilson, CEO and President of Aman at Sea said.
“Shockingly, even though we don’t talk about ourselves as ocean voyages and are not a typical cruise product, people still tend to book in the early part of the year, and we’re about 18 months out, so it fits with the summer season following,” Wilson added.
Speaking with LATTE at ILTM Cannes in France last week, Wilson revealed the debut season will include sailing along the French Riviera timed with the likes of the Cannes Film Festival (held annually in May) and Monaco Grand Prix (scheduled for the first week of June) in 2027, before traversing the Amalfi Coast, the east coast of Italy, including Venice.

Wilson, a former longtime serving executive at Princess Cruises, told LATTE Amangati will be the “only commercial vessel” that will be able to access Venice’s Grand Canal. The landmark Italian destination restricts vessels to a maximum length of 180 metres, and the 47-suite ship officially measures in at 173.
He points out other ultra-luxury yachts in the same space, such as Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Four Seasons and Orient Express, will all be too long to access the Grand Canal.
“Amangati will have the ability to pull up alongside our hotel in Venice,” Wilson quips, referring to Aman Venice in the historic 16th-century Palazzo Papadopoli on the Grand Canal. “We may not be able to dock, but we can stop right out the front.”
Amangati cut its first steel in March 2024, and the vessel is being constructed in Genoa, Italy at the T. Mariotti shipyard.

The living spaces are spread over three-decks of the nine-deck ship. Each of the 47-suites has a private terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows. The smallest suite on the yacht is 60-square-metres, with the mainstay measuring 75-sqm. Two Premium Suites are 100-sqm, while the top-of-the-line Aman Suite is 180-sqm, with its 180-sqm private terrace.
Wilson says the design of the yacht enables two- and three-bedroom suites to be quickly configured with whole walls that can be removed between rooms, rather than a “weird door in the middle of the room,” he noted.
Amangati will offer four restaurant, and features an eight room spa, each room of which also has a private terrace that features a Jacuzzi.

Wilson noted that Amangati has generated a lot of “charter excitement” given its size and suite flexibility, with the first charter “close to being locked in”.
Quizzed by LATTE about future vessels under the Aman at Sea brand, Wilson confirmed: “We will announce a fleet expansion.” A time-line wasn’t revealed, but it’s fair to say such a move would be imminent given production schedules.
