Hilton will introduce its ultra-luxury Waldorf Astoria brand to Spain’s Malaga Province when Waldorf Astoria Marbella debuts in 2029.

The new resort will offer a contemporary expression of Marbella’s Andalusian setting, reflecting Waldorf Astoria’s signature design ethos and service throughout.

Waldorf Astoria Marbella will offer 120 guest rooms and suites, as well as 120 branded residences, set against Marbella’s Mediterranean coastline. The hotel will feature a unique design created by three Pritzker Prize-winning architects, who are currently working on its conceptual design competition.

Chris Nassetta, President & CEO, Hilton, said, “Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has long been synonymous with unparalleled luxury in the world’s most sought-after destinations. This signing represents another important step in our strategy to expand Hilton’s luxury portfolio globally, which now includes more than 550 trading hotels – from the legendary Waldorf Astoria New York to Conrad Hamburg and Waldorf Astoria Osaka.”

Guests will enjoy a collection of distinctive dining experiences at Waldorf Astoria Marbella, including the brand’s iconic Peacock Alley, a stylish Lobby Bar, a signature restaurant, and a pool bar and grill. Wellness will sit at the centre of the resort, anchored by a 750 square metre spa with four treatment rooms, a gym, and both indoor and outdoor pools with expansive decks.

The signing ceremony for Waldorf Astoria Marbella took place in New York on 5 November.
