Guided vacation company Trafalgar has announced the appointment of two past guests as godmothers of its new river cruise line, debuting in April 2026. The brand has selected Cassandra (Cassie) Estrella-Roca of Southern California and Kate McIntosh of Melbourne, Australia, to represent its debut ships, Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie, traveling the Danube and Rhine rivers.
Trafalgar selected its godmothers as part of a refreshed approach to the tradition, choosing real guests over public figures, whose “authenticity, loyalty and enthusiasm reflect the traveler-first philosophy behind Trafalgar.” Both were chosen through Trafalgar’s Travel Unlocked Awards, which celebrate inspiring guest stories from across the brand’s global community.
“Our river cruise product has been built around the idea that travel should feel personal, joyful and shaped by the people who experience it,” said Damien O’Connor, vice president of river cruises, Trafalgar. “Cassie and Kate reflect everything our brand stands for, including warmth, connection and a genuine love for discovery. Having them bless Trafalgar Verity and Trafalgar Reverie is a meaningful way to begin this new chapter on the rivers of Europe.”

Estrella-Roca will serve as godmother of Trafalgar Verity, which will debut on the “Best of the Rhine and Amsterdam” itinerary from April 12 to 21, 2026. Based in California, Cassie brings years of travel experience with Trafalgar and Costsaver, having explored destinations across Europe, the Middle East and South America. She was selected for the energy and optimism she brings to every journey. According to Trafalgar, she is known for sharing her travels with strong social engagement, often encouraging others to experience the ease and connection of guided travel.
McIntosh, alternatively, will serve as godmother of Trafalgar Reverie, which will launch on the “Best of the Danube” itinerary from April 11 to 18, 2026. Based in Melbourne, Kate has traveled with Trafalgar for many years and is known for embracing solo travel and the room share program, often forming true friendships with fellow guests along the way.
Both godmothers will sail on their respective inaugural voyages and will participate in select launch season activities.
