For 2026, Red Savannah is offering a front-row seat to one of Europe’s most extraordinary living traditions: the Palio di Siena, Italy’s most storied horse race of more than 700 years. The just-launched Palio di Siena itinerary combines luxurious Tuscan villa accommodations with prime seating and dinner at the race, along with exclusive destination experiences.
Guests will enjoy one week’s accommodation in one of Red Savannah’s luxury Tuscan villas, private round-trip transfers from the villa to Siena, arena-side seats at the race, and a three-course dinner with fine wine at the Palio. The race itself takes place July 2, 2026.
The Palio, according to Red Savannah, “is a chance to witness Siena at its most vibrant, passionate and authentic: a city transformed into a dazzling celebratory display of color, sound, pride and centuries-old traditions.”
The race itself lasts little more than ninety seconds, as ten horses and their riders—representing different sections (contrade) of the city—speed bareback around the square’s tight turns, cheered on by thousands of spectators. But the spectacle extends far beyond those fleeting moments.

The Red Savannah Palio Experience
Guests will be collected privately from your villa at 2 p.m., beginning a scenic journey to the Basilica di San Domenico, where an expert guide awaits. From here, guests stroll through the winding medieval lanes of Siena’s UNESCO-listed historic center, learning about the rivalries, rituals and pride that define the event.
Arriving at the Piazza del Campo, guests will be welcomed to Margherité Siena with a drink. From here, they will take in the pre-race rituals, the historic parade of costumed processions, and the climax of the race itself at around 7:30 p.m.
After taking part in the celebrations, guests will enjoy a three-course dinner, accompanied by fine wines. The private driver will return guests to their villa after dinner.
