The addition of 100 new member hotels in 2025 has pushed the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) global portfolio beyond 650 properties across more than 90 countries.
The growth underscores sustained demand for independent luxury hotels that prioritise character, local connection and meaningful travel experiences, according to SLH. The company is now looking ahead to a busy pipeline of openings in 2026, its 35th anniversary year, with new member hotels spanning Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Caribbean and Australia.

“As SLH marks 35 years, our purpose remains unchanged: to champion the world’s most inspiring independent hotels,” said Richard Hyde, SLH Chief Operating Officer. “2025 has been a year of renewal and reflection, as we continue to evolve our portfolio and deepen our commitment to conscious travel, wellbeing, and authentic travel experiences.
“As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to welcome new member hotels that share our belief that true luxury lies in individuality and meaningful connection, and to continue inspiring our community of over 300,000 engaged SLH Club members worldwide.”

Among the headline additions is the reopening of Niva Labriz Seychelles in January 2026 following a full renovation, while China’s Shanghai Muh Shoou Zhujing will open in April 2026 as a 60-key architectural retreat set in the historic water town of Zhujing. Greece will see the debut of The Landmark Rhodes in May 2026, offering coastal villas and a spa surrounded by a centuries-old olive grove.
Further openings scheduled for June 2026 include Japan’s THE PASONA, which will focus on sustainability and marine-based wellness through a state-of-the-art spa centre offering Thalassotherapy treatments, and Australia’s Levantine Hill Hotel, a 33-room vineyard retreat in Victoria’s Yarra Valley linked to the estate’s cellar door and fine-dining restaurant. Later in the year, SLH will welcome its first property in Dominica with the launch of the 72-key Sanctuary Rainforest Resort & Spa, followed by the opening of Italy’s Villa Helios Capri, an intimate nine-suite property near Capri’s Piazzetta.

Recent additions to the SLH portfolio also reflect a strong focus on nature-led travel and slower-paced luxury. New members include alpine and lakeside retreats in New Zealand and Switzerland, ski-in ski-out lodges in the US, Nordic wellness properties in Finland, and adult-only coastal escapes in Greece, many of which opened during 2025.
The expansion comes alongside continued momentum from SLH’s exclusive strategic partnership with Hilton, which marked its first anniversary in July 2025. More than 500 SLH properties are now available through Hilton’s direct booking channels, including Hilton.com and the Hilton Honors app. The partnership contributed to an 18% year-on-year revenue increase, making 2025 the most successful year in SLH’s history.

SLH also launched the SLH Wellbeing Collection in 2025, introducing 15 member hotels focused on holistic wellbeing, rest and emotional reconnection.
