Tauck‘s Australian sales and reservations operations will be integrated into its broader international network as part of a strategic realignment set to unfold throughout 2026.
Under the new plan, Tauck will gradually wind down its dedicated Australian sales and reservations team, shifting support for Australian advisors and guests to the company’s worldwide structure. The company said the move will allow it to better position resources for continued global growth while maintaining high service standards for travellers and industry partners.
“After a thoughtful review of our global operations, we have determined that integrating our Australian sales and reservations functions into our wider network, will enable us to better support our guests and partners worldwide,” Tauck Vice President of Global Sales and Service Steve Spivak said.
Spivak also acknowledged the “unparalleled passion” of the Australian team, led by Managing Director David Clark. “Over the past six years, David and the team have been incredibly dedicated and committed to the Tauck brand, which has made a real impact in this region, and I thank them sincerely,” he said.
Clark, who has overseen the brand’s growth in Australia, reflected on the significance of the transition. “I have been honoured and humbled to work with Tauck over the past six years,” he said.
He praised his team’s efforts in bringing the “wonderful, historic travel brand to our Australian travel partners and travellers,” calling the experience “incredibly rewarding,” and expressed gratitude to both colleagues and industry partners for their support.
“Built over four generations, Tauck truly offers its travellers something incredibly special and I wish them only the very best,” he added.
Tauck emphasised that it will support employees “with care” throughout the transition. Sales roles will remain in place until 31 March 2026, and reservations positions until 15 December 2026.
Meanwhile, Spivak reaffirmed the company’s longstanding connection to the market. “Tauck has been proud to serve the Australian travel community for more than 40 years,” he stressed. “Our existing itinerary offerings will proceed as planned.”
The company continues to invest in inbound tourism, citing rising demand and 20% growth on Australia itineraries for 2025. A new 10-day journey, Spotlight on Australia, will debut in 2026.
