Scenic Discovery Yachts have officially commenced their fifth Antarctica season, with this year’s program featuring a range of exciting innovations for guests aboard Scenic Eclipse.
Among the new introductions are a brand-new Scenic Neptune, a U-Boat Worx submersible designed for underwater exploration in Antarctic waters. Another of the season’s highlights are exclusive helicopter excursions to the Emperor penguin colony at Snow Hill Island.

“Scenic Discovery Yachts are truly unique, offering something no other operator or expedition ship can — a four-dimensional view of Antarctica. From soaring above in our custom-designed Scenic helicopters, to exploring below the surface in the Scenic Neptune submersibles, to discovering on the water by Zodiac, kayak, or paddleboard, and venturing on land — all in a single day,” Jason Flesher, Director of Discovery Operations, said. “It’s an unmatched way to experience the world from every perspective.”
Meanwhile, Scenic Eclipse II will explore East Antarctica and the Ross Sea, discovering remote bays, historic exploration huts and extraordinary wildlife sightings. Guests on the Antarctica’s Ross Sea: Majestic Ice & Wildlife voyage can also book a helicopter flight over the McMurdo Dry Valleys and the spectacular Ross Sea Ice Shelf.

Purpose-built for polar exploration, the Scenic Discovery Yachts accommodate just 200 guests in Antarctica, ensuring an intimate and immersive adventure. Each vessel is equipped with two helicopters, a submersible, a fleet of Zodiacs and kayaks allowing guests to fully experience the region.
“With over five years of continuous operations in Antarctica, the Scenic Discovery Yachts fleet has set the benchmark for all-inclusive expedition cruising,” Anthony Laver, Scenic Group General Manager Sales & Marketing APAC said. “These enhancements reflect our commitment to delivering unmatched ultra-luxury experiences for our guests.”
