Seasoned hospitality leader Jason Kruse has been appointed Complex General Manager for three of Minor Hotels’ premier Maldivian properties: Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort, Anantara Veli Maldives Resort, and Naladhu Private Island Maldives.
With more than 20 years of experience in luxury resort operations across the Asia-Pacific region, Kruse is no stranger to the Maldives. He has previously held leadership roles at Amilla Maldives Resort and Residences, Kurumba Maldives, and JA Manafaru. His earlier career includes senior roles at high-end resorts in Fiji, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Australia.
Kruse opened the ultra-luxury Six Senses Fiji in 2022.

“Jason’s extensive experience in resort operations, combined with his deep understanding of the Maldivian market, makes him exceptionally well-suited to lead this iconic portfolio,” said Nicholas Smith, Vice President of Operations for Asia at Minor Hotels. “We are confident he will continue to build on the strengths of each property while driving innovation, guest satisfaction, and commercial success across the cluster.”
In his new role, Kruse will oversee operations and strategic planning for the three distinct resorts. Anantara Veli offers a tranquil, adults-only escape; Anantara Dhigu provides a vibrant, family-friendly paradise; and Naladhu Private Island stands as a secluded haven of ultra-luxury. Together, the properties reflect Minor Hotels’ ethos of “meaningful luxury, local connection, and unforgettable experiences.”
“It’s a privilege to join Minor Hotels and lead this iconic trio of resorts in one of the world’s most breathtaking destinations,” Kruse said. “I look forward to working with our exceptional team to craft meaningful experiences that celebrate the natural beauty, culture, and spirit of the Maldives.”
