Scandinavian Airlines has ramped up its commercial partnership with Virgin Atlantic, opening up greater access to several long-haul destinations.
As part of the arrangement, SAS will place its ‘SK’ code on select Virgin Atlantic flights from London Heathrow, offering seamless access to destinations such as Cape Town, Johannesburg, Dubai and Malé in the Maldives. Further destinations will also be added.
SAS and Virgin Atlantic launched a bilateral codeshare agreement in October 2024. The new codeshare flights are available now.

“This expanded codeshare with Virgin Atlantic strengthens SAS’ offering to both business and leisure travelers by opening up more options to popular destinations,” said Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS. “By placing our code on Virgin Atlantic flights, we make it easier for our customers to connect seamlessly through London Heathrow and enjoy a smooth travel experience.”
Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer, Virgin Atlantic, commented, “We’re delighted to be deepening our partnership with SAS through our codeshare expansion, signalling our continued commitment to working with our fellow SkyTeam member.”
