Robyn and Murray Sinfield of Home Travel Company in regional Tasmania, a long-standing member of Virtuoso, and part of FCTG’s Luxury Travel Collection, has welcomed Cathi Burnett-Cosgrove to its boutique team of Travel Designers.

Burnett-Cosgrove is the owner and designer of the Compass Society Group Travel which offers hand-crafted, personally escorted tours from Hobart.

Each exclusive tour aims to present a premium opportunity to appreciate the nuances and delights of each extraordinary destination. Burnett-Cosgrove will unveil the Compass Society Group Travel’s 2026 and 2027 programs this month.

She joins the HTC family which also includes Karen Flood and Stacey Lyons in Northwest Tasmania, and Kyle Duffield on the East Coast of the island-state, along with Melissa Leggett in Ballarat, Victoria.

Like the Sinfields, Burnett-Cosgrove is a cruise expert with a Cruise Master status with CLIA. She brings 40+ years experience to Home Travel Company, having previously operated her own business Harvey World Travel Kingston for several years before it was acquired by Andrew Jones Travel, where she remained until the closure of their leisure business under Allure CTM.

In May, Burnett-Cosgrove hinted on social media that further changes were afoot at The Compass Society, assuring members that “the future of The Compass Society is secure, exciting and bright!”

Today, The Compass Society website states: “Together, The Compass Society and Home Travel Company share the same values of professional and personalised service, with each business backed by more than 40 years of first-hand experience and a love of discovering remarkable destinations.”

“Cathi is well versed and is a fabulous addition to our addicted cruise team!” Sinfield told LATTE.

Quizzed by LATTE if Burnett-Cosgrove was joining the team as part of a succession plan, Robyn quipped, “No, we’ve years ahead of us in this fabulous industry!”

Her addition to the Home Travel Company team, collectively increases the businesses’ combined experience to more than 220 years.

Robyn currently sits on Virtuoso’s Member Advisory Board, representing Cruise in Australia and New Zealand.
