Etihad has confirmed it will launch seasonal flights to Palma de Mallorca, a key gateway to the Balearic Islands including Ibiza.

Starting 12 June until mid-September 2026, Etihad will operate three weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Palma de Mallorca, operated using the airline’s new Airbus A321LR.

The new route makes Palma de Mallorca the 29th new destination announced by Etihad, with it “the only direct connection between Asia and Palma de Mallorca,” according to the airline. The service opens up access access to the wider Balearic archipelago for travellers from Abu Dhabi and beyond.

“Palma de Mallorca is the perfect addition to our summer schedule,” Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves said. “From marinas and lively nightlife to secluded coves and historic towns, Mallorca has something for every traveller. We can’t wait to connect our guests from Abu Dhabi and across our network to this Balearic gem – the ultimate summer escape aboard our new A321LR.”

Etihad’s Airbus A321LR aircraft features a First Class with private suites with closing doors, complete with fine dining while Business Class offers fully lie-flat beds in a 1-1 herringbone layout.
