Blue Parallel, a member of Virtuoso’s UltraLuxe Community, is expanding its offerings to include Norway’s High Arctic region—from Bergen through Alta. It also added a three-city Scandinavian tour exploring “the very best of Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen.”
Blue Parallel’s private, tailor-made itineraries focus on UNESCO World Heritage sites and insider experiences.
The High Arctic sample itinerary includes a visit Norway’s Bergen, a seaside city with historical highlights and medieval wonders; taking the funicular to the top of Mt. Fløyen for views of the city below; a hike through snowy landscapes; a fish and cheese tasting in a historic fish market; a cruise through nearby fjords; and a journey on the iconic Flåm Railway.

Continuing to Alta for more outdoor adventures, guests can enjoy snowshoeing, ice sculpting, dog sledding, a reindeer sleigh ride with the indigenous Sami people, and snowmobiling. Here, guests can also enjoy a VIP tour of the Igloo Hotel and spend the night on a bed made of ice.
The Capital Cities sample itinerary starts in Oslo, where travellers can explore the Kon Tiki and Fram Museums in private. A guide will tailor experiences for guests in the Akershus Fortress, the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Holmenkollbakken ski jump and ski museum, and more.

Highlights in Stockholm include the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace and a journey back in time at the Vasa Museum, followed by a private yacht voyage among the archipelago off the city’s coast.
Lastly, Copenhagen highlights include an exclusive after-hours visit to the Christiansborg Palace, a tour with a local inhabitant of free-town Christiana, a visit to the magical Tivoli gardens, wildlife spotting at Dyrehaven, and having the opportunity to harvest one’s own seaweed, a high-demand export of Denmark.
